2016 Wrap Up

With the year now coming to an end, I thought it would be an appropriate time to do a 2016 wrap up of my favourite books I've read this year - narrowing it down to just three, otherwise this post would never end (and no, I'm not exaggerating: once I start talking about books, I can't stop!).

Three Dark Crowns

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake is a book I've wanted to read for a very long time, ever since I saw it sitting in a bookshop window looking all pretty in its newly printed glory. The same day I was about to buy it, a package from My Kinda Book containing a proof of the story arrived in the post (so I guess I now believe in fate).

Author Guest Post & Giveaway

Today's blog post is all about magic, genies and lamps, three things that make me wish I could re-visit my childhood and live in a world of fairy tales and make believe all over again. Children's author M. Tara Crowl has recently published the second book in her Eden of the Lamp series - which sounds incredibly awesome, and would be a great gift for Christmas! - and one lucky reader will have the chance to win a signed copy of it (how awesome is that?).

What Light

With only two weeks to go until Christmas, I thought it was about time to get into the festive spirit and read something magical: What Light by Jay Asher (thank you, Becca, for sending me this in the post, it looks so beautiful on my shelf).
